Explore the Acts of the Spirit, Encounter the Ancient Church
A travel course hosted by Regent College, open to all.

As we explore the New Testament world of the Book of Acts, the letters of Paul, and the book of Revelation, we will encounter the Holy Spirit whose life spread through the region – and still does. Trace the travels of John and Paul to the ancient cities Asia Minor (Turkïye), and take in the rugged beauty of this majestic land. Let Scripture come alive in stones and stories and shared faith.
The Seven Churches of Revelation and the World of Acts
The journey starts in magnificent Istanbul, with Haggia Sophia, the blue mosque, grand bazaar and a river cruise. We journey to ethereal Cappadocia to see frescoes in ancient cave churches where believers fled and founded thriving communities (also an optional hot air balloon ride!)
We will visit the churches of Revelation, with rich teaching throughout, including Ephesus, Laodicea, Smyrna, Sardis. We’ll explore how those 7 churches reflect our experience in the world and church.
At every location the Bible comes to life amid wonderful scenery, amazing food, incredible company. We will experience history, Scripture, and beauty. Come be enriched, informed, transformed!
Dr. George Guthrie is Marshall Sheppard Professor of Biblical Studies at Regent College and a highly sought-after lecturer, who has taught across North America, as well as in East Asia, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, and Israel.
Bronwyn Spilsbury is a Pastor with Alliance Canada and Director of Pilgrim Way, bringing insight, community, and specialized planning to each pilgrimage for greatest enrichment, enjoyment, and soul nourishment.
For maximum benefit, we encourage travellers to take the journey as a course for Regent College credit, as an option.
